For next class meeting (1/17/2012) be sure to have screened both Vertigo and Psycho (both by Hitchcock) and complete a two page character comparison. Select one character from each film and compare and contrast them in the two pages. You can select anything about them to compare, from their looks to their psychology, their passions, or a combination of things about them. However, be sure to argue why those similarities and differences matter; think about how these comparisons and contrasts create meaningful connections to a larger issue and include those thoughts in your paper. Be sure to back up your statements with evidence from the films.
Also,a film journal check will happen on 1/17/2012, so be sure to bring your notebook or papers that contain you notes from ALL of the films we've screened so far.
